Question

Module 6 Discussion: Critical Factors of Development

Description:

Developmental psychology is the study of age-related changes in behavior and mental processes, including stages of growth, from conception to death. Development is an ongoing, lifelong process.

Instructions:

Step 1: Respond to the following prompt:

What stage of human development are you in currently and what are your main challenges/activities? Reflecting on Erikson's theory of psychosocial development, which stage do you find yourself in? How will you successfully resolve the conflict that is the hallmark of that stage?  What would you consider the best time of life? Why?

Step 2: Read other students' posts and respond to at least two other students. Incorporate personal experience, if appropriate, to help support or debate other students' posts. If differences of opinion occur, debate the issues and provide examples to support opinions.

In your responses to your peers’ posts, be concrete, make suggestions for change, including strategies, movements, obstacles, and so forth. Outside-the-box thinking and debate are encouraged.

The use of outside resources (your textbook or other academic source) is required. Be sure to cite any outside sources in current APA format.

Due Date:

  • Initial posts must be submitted by due date. Subsequent replies are due by the end of the week (see Course Policies and Procedures or your Instructor for details).

Grading:

  • Be certain to review the rubric to ensure that you are fulfilling the requirements.
