Introduction
This week we will use mind maps to explore ways of thinking about "development". Again, you are divided into small groups to make discussion easier. Here’s how it will work.
Mind Map
To conceptualize some of the different ideas presented in the lecture and readings about development, draw a mind map of key points. There is no right way to do this. Include whatever details you want, be creative or keep it simple, and organize it in a way that makes sense to you. You can ask questions, you can summarize key points, you can draw pictures instead of using words, you can draw an actual geographic map, you can do it on the computer instead of on paper - there are lots of possibilities! The only requirement is to draw on multiple sources from this week to think about the concept of development. In your mind map, include different definitions of development (e.g. gross national happiness

I have provided a simple example here, but for more creative mind map formats, check out these images. Also, here is a website that allows you to make free mind maps online if you'd like to try that: Canva.
Embed an image of your mind map into the discussion by clicking on the image icon in the toolbar above, or attach it using the "attach file" button at the bottom.
