Often one of the biggest challenges of working in the mental health field is maintaining confidentiality. As mental health helping professionals you are going to hear things you may find difficult to manage such as criminal behaviors, stories of physical and sexual abuse, past trauma, or behaviors you may find objective to your own morals. How do you think you will manage hearing this information knowing you cannot tell anyone else about these things unless someone is in imminent danger? How are you going to manage to maintain the confidentiality of your clients while also taking care of yourself when you hear these types of things?
